Inspection in the following areas:
During inspection, inspectors check to what extent liable persons follow the regulations from the above mentioned areas. The Inspectorate thus conducts proceedings at first instance, while appeals against the decisions and rules of inspectors are decided on by the Ministry of the Interior as a body of the second instance.
Minor offence procedure
If minor offences are established during inspections, if other state bodies, legal or natural persons report violations of regulations from the area of internal administrative affairs to the Inspectorate, or when laws or executive acts determine that the duties of the minor offence authority will be carried out by the Ministry of the Interior and the Police is not responsible for such cases, the authorized officers of the Inspectorate will conduct a quick minor offence procedure at the first instance. Requests for legal measures against payment orders and against decisions on minor offences will be decided by the competent court.
